CU BOULDER CLUB TENNIS

The University of Colorado Club Tennis Team provides a competitive tennis atmosphere while also giving student-athletes a positive social outlet to further enjoy their college experience.  Our organization is mostly self-sufficient; we self-coach, receive limited funding from the university, and rely primarily on player dues. Although practices are separated sometimes by team, all teams participate in social and fundraising events to stay connected.

Members of CU Club Tennis are divided into two types of teams.  The Black and Gold teams fill the gap between recreational and varsity levels of competition. They are the traveling teams that play intercollegiate tennis in different tournaments through USTA Tennis on Campus. Try-outs are required in order to make the team due to the high level of competition and limited spaces available. Both teams work hard every year to compete for regional and national championships.

The CU Club Tennis team was created for student-athletes who seek to maintain and improve their tennis skills and meet others with the same interest.  Members have a history of playing high school tennis which allows for a higher level of play than what intramural has to offer.
